Hello Everyone!

Today Jackson started his third cycle of chemo. Is it me or is the time flying these days. I guess that is a good thing because we are ready for him to be done with all of his treatments! I probably could drive to SF with my eyes closed, although I would never try it!

Jackson had another audiogram done today. He has one done prior to each cycle of chemo. One of the drugs they give him is harmful to his hearing. They say he has some slight loss in the very high pitch range, but it hasn't worsened since the first cycle. It is not anything that will affect his day to day life, but they want to monitor it just in case they need to adjust his chemo treatments.
  1. Jackson's hemoglobin, or red counts, were low at the beginning of this cycle, so they think he may need a transfusion before he leaves the hospital this week. He will have a clinic appointment on Tuesday of next week instead of Monday due to the holiday. So we will travel home this cycle for the four days that will pass before his clinic appointment. We spent those four days at family house last cycle and it seemed to drag on forever. It didn't help that it was raining and we really couldn't go anywhere. Plus this weekend is Valentines Day, and I would like to spend it with my husband.

I will keep everyone posted with Jackson's status this cycle as it progresses. Hope you all enjoy the photo of the kids!
