Jackson's progress continues everyday. He is walking farther and farther everyday. They are saying that maybe by the end of next week they may release him to stay with us at family house :) We are absolutely thrilled. His last radiation treatment should be November 5th. We bought him an all terrain tricycle this week and he has been up and down all the halls on the 6th and 7th floor! It was almost too big of a hit because he is wearing out both himself and us! I brought the craziness here on Tuesday AKA Hayden. Her and Jackson have been non-stop! It is so amazing to see Jackson so energetic. We will most likely be taking Jackson to Fleet Week here in SF to see the awesome Blue Angels. Rehab is going to give us a half day pass on Saturday.
Jackson's rehab is going so well. His PT took us all through the med school and over to another cafeteria and quad area. Jackson doesn't get outside much so he really enjoyed it. He really likes his therapist. She takes alot of nerf gun abuse! Warren and Jackson have taken alot of time exploring the hospital. They have found a really neat room on the 12th floor called the solarium. It has an awesome view. We can watch everything between the hospital and the Golden Gate bridge.
Jackson is still tolerating radiation well. He gets his morning dose of anti-nausea meds and sails through the rest of the day. He did have to have a blood transfusion on Sunday because the radiation lowers the red blood cell count. All in all, things couldn't be going better these days.
Thank you to everyone who helped out with the fundraiser on Saturday. The support has been wonderful.
