The visit from Madison and Hayden

Jackson's sisters visited him in the PICU this weekend. They all had a great time. Jackson is feeling better and better each day. We are now looking forward to getting him moving more and getting his strength back. He is still in the PICU until they can take out the drain in his head. He is smiling more each day and being more like himself each day.

Hopefully he will be in his own room soon. His appetite is returning to normal now that they have been weaning the steroids down, thank goodness. He was cleared to eat a fairly normal diet. He is also able to swallow liquids down now without choking. That is something that he couldn't do before the surgery due to all of the pressure in the area of the brain that helps coordinate swallowing. We are very happy so far with his recovery and all of his care here.
