The final report of Jackson's post-op MRI stated that there are no signs of his tumor! The radiation and chemo treatments will take care of the microscopic cells that have been left behind. This is a huge step to a full recovery. We LOVE Dr. Gupta and his neuro team!
Jackson is doing well still. He does have alot of pain at the surgical site, but hopefully that will pass in the near future. They are talking about weaning him off of the steroid that was helping the inflammation caused by his tumor. This will be good because it affects his mood, appetite, and will allow his incisions to heal faster. He should be more balanced and heal more quickly when they reduce his doses.
We are so glad to be looking ahead to the future and move on to the next step toward a full recovery. The road for our family is still a long one, but we are ready to keep progressing in the right direction.
