Well Hello Everyone,
Jack's 5th cycle of chemo has been the hardest one so far. It seems to have taken a toll on his little body. He was really nauseous on Sunday and Monday. He pretty much slept for two days. When he was awake, he would just lay there. He didn't even want to watch TV. He was supposed to get discharged on Monday evening, but he was not well, so they kept him overnight for hydration and monitoring. About 2 am he had a dose of Ativan and within an hour he was up, wanted to eat a little and drink. He also decided that he wanted to find Jaclyn (his PT) and shoot her with a nerf gun. I explained to him at that point it was almost 4am and that Jaclyn was home asleep! A little while later I convinced Jack that it was bedtime and Mom was tired so we went to bed. After a while, Jack woke me up crying. I asked him what was wrong and he said "get me". I looked up and he was standing next to his hospital bed crying. I asked him if he fell out of bed and he didn't know. He was upset because somehow when he was sleeping, he squeezed his way out of the bed rails and when he woke up I don't think he knew where he was or what had happened! Wow! What a night, needless to say I was exhausted the next morning! He woke up for the day around 6:30 and wanted me to order up his breakfast. At this point I knew our little Jackson was feeling better. We were able to go to Family House that day at noon. He has since been feeling well. He has been tired, but his nausea is under control. Thank Goodness!
