Radiation and Chemo plans

We have spoke with oncologists and Jackson will begin radiation in about a week. This is good news to move ahead and on with his recovery. Because of the type of cancer Jack has, he will need a higher dose of radiation which means more side effects. This was disappointing but Jack is a strong kid and with extra help with school and physical therapy, we have no doubt that he will meet his full potential. So, six weeks of radiation, followed by a 4-6 week break at home, and then six months of chemo. This is what Jack's future will entail.

Jackson is doing well with his recovery from surgery. We will be leaving the PICU today after they remove his drain. This morning he woke up wanting pancakes for breakfast and soon after he ate he wanted to color. This is great news because he is feeling much better! I hope everyone enjoyed the photo of him playing with his frog!
