Very good news! Jackie got his breathing tube taken out!!! We are all very happy for that big event. Although he continues to receive pain medication, he is continuing to be more aware of his surroundings each day and tries to talk a little as well. Since his kidneys are doing well, his swelling has gone down quite a bit so that his little face looks like himself again. Each day he continues to be disconnected from various medical devices and hopefully by the end of this coming week, he'll be out of the PICU all together and back into a regular hospital room.

Jackson received lots of visitors this weekend, including his sister Hayden(2) and his older sister Madison(8), who was able to see him. Among his sisters, he had more friends and family that went out to see him, Warren and Jenise and I know they appreciate it so very much.
