Jackson is doing well today. He had his catheter removed today and he peed on the nurse! He thought that was funny. They are weaning him off of Valium over the next three days. I spoke with his oncologist regarding the proton therapy and he said he would put a call in to Loma Linda to investigate further. The oncologist at UCSF that treats only brain tumors is also doing some investigating for other options for Jackson. It seems that in about a week we should have a plan of action.

ReplyDeleteKara told me about your son. I am so glad to see he is doing better! My son was at Childrens for 5 weeks a few months ago with a traumatic brain injury so we are there once a week for pt/ot. Please let me know if there is anything we can do or get for you guys! I know how hard it can be to leave the hospital for the little things!
