Bad news today with Jackson's MRI. His tumor is actually larger than before. The neurosurgeon believes that three things are going on; the tumor has grown, the tumor has decompressed by removing some of it, and there is some inflammation going on. He sent Jack's MRI to UCSF for a second opinion with a Dr. Gupta who is supposedly one of the best pediatric neurosurgeons in the world and he specializes in complicated brain tumors. He should be getting back to us tomorrow with what the plan should be. We are considering a third opinion from Stanford with a Dr. Edwards who also is right up there with Dr. Gupta as far as his specialty goes. A neuropsychologist here named Dr. Lebby, reviewed the MRI with me and he said he would want these two doctors if his child had the same condition and circumstances.

Jack has been more uncomfortable the last few days mostly from the pressure in his head. He hasn't shown interest in his toys or getting out of bed in his wheelchair. Hopefully soon we will see a turn around in his condition. Everyone please keep praying for Jackson, a successful treatment for his tumor, whatever that may be, and a nice recovery.

  2. You don't know me - I am linked to you thru Kara's dad. Please know that there are so many awesome and powerful prayer warriors keeping Jackson and this whole situation lifted up to the LORD - in JESUS name. Jackson, his family, the doctors and every part of his recovery is being prayed for continually. We are believing for a miracle! In the meantime... praying for the JOY OF THE LORD to cover Jackie and take away all his discomfort and pain. May you feel HIS presence around you so strongly that you will know and understand that HE is with you and in control.
