Day by day he gets a little stronger!

Jackie is still off of dialysis and his kidneys are continuing to function better each day. They had hoped to remove his breathing tube today, however there is fluid around his lungs so they felt it would be best to postpone the removal until he begins to flush the fluid out of his body.

Some good news is that they have continued to lower his sedation meds which allows for more movement and for him to be more aware of his surroundings. Jenise was brushing his teeth this morning and she asked him if he liked the taste of the toothpaste and he nodded his head, NO! I don't blame you Jackie, it's probably pretty gross!

As of yesterday, the pathology report came in and Jackson's tumor is officially diagnosed as a Medulloblastoma. What this means to Jackson, Jenise and Warren is that they have a long road ahead of them, but with great hope and positive support from all their family and friends, they will continue with their journey and beat it!

There are not too many specific details yet with regards to the exact course of treatment they will chose to follow, but for now, Jenise and Warren are working to see where the best treating hospital will be for Jackie. Once a final decision is made, the information will be posted. For now, they are working on getting him ready for the rest of his battle.
